MM cells express VEGF mRNA. / (A) Total RNA (5 μg) from control NBM1-2, patient MM1-5, RPMI 8226, and SV MM cell lines was size separated on a 1.4% agarose-formaldehyde gel, blotted, and probed with a 32P-labeled VEGF cDNA probe that recognizes VEGF transcripts of approximately 3.7 to 4.4 kb. A32P end-labeled oligonucleotide probe for 18S rRNA was used as the loading control.
