Rel A DNA binding is higher in samples from patients with shorter lymphocyte doubling time and positively correlates with total white cell count. (A) Rel A levels were measured by DNA binding ELISA (Active Motif) and were compared in patients with a lymphocyte doubling time above or below 12 months. Patients with lymphocyte doubling time of less than 12 months show a significantly higher level of Rel A (P < .01). (B) There was a significant positive correlation between Rel A DNA binding activity in cells from patients and their total white cell count (r² = 0.2, P = .01).
