Clinical criteria for the diagnosis of ALI and TRALI16 


Insidious, acute onset of pulmonary insufficiency  
Profound hypoxemia, PaO2/FiO2 less than 300 mm Hg* 
Bilateral fluffy infiltrates consistent with pulmonary edema  
Pulmonary artery wedge pressure less than or equal to 18 mm Hg 
No clinical evidence of left atrial hypertension
