The structure of the CD8/γ chain chimeras is indicated in Figure 2. Three representative experiments are shown. Cell surface expression of transfected receptors, determined by flow cytometry using mAb 3G8 for FcγRIIIA, and anti-CD8 antibody for the CD8/γ chimeras, is presented as mean fluorescence intensity (MFI). For each experiment, 900-1000 cells were microscopically examined in a random fashion to determine the phagocytic index (PI).
