There were equal numbers of male and virgin females—or in columns with odd numbers of animals, as close to these values as possible—at 6 to 12 weeks of age. Mice with thromboses were equally divided between males and females.
Mice with thrombi are those that have a large thrombus in either the mitral valve or left atrium of the heart.
