As determined by 3-color flow cytometry using CD48/CD27/CD19, IgM/CD48/CD19, and IgG/CD48/CD19 combinations of monoclonal antibodies as described in “Materials and methods.” Values in the table are the percentage of either CD48− or CD48+ cells expressing CD27, IgM, or IgG.
Patients with >90% PNH granulocyte clone.
Patient developed hemolytic PNH 12 years ago and currently has no detectable PNH red cells or granulocytes. Analysis of IgD expression showed 94.7% positivity (mean fluorescent intensity [MFI], 1248) for the PNH B cells and 70.2% positivity for normal B cells (MFI 941).
Analysis of IgD expression showed 95.5% positivity (MFI 2607) for the PNH B cells and 77.0% positivity for normal B cells (MFI 644).
Analysis of IgD expression showed 97.6% positivity (MFI 2466) for the PNH B cells and 68.9% positivity for normal B cells (MFI 1142).
Patient developed hemolytic PNH 36 years ago, with attacks of macroscopic hemoglobinuria ceasing in 1976.
