HIV RNA was measured by quantitative RT-PCR kit (Amplicor HIV test).

Because of the initial 1:10 sample dilution, the lower limit of ELISA sensitivity was set at 300 pg/mL of vIL-6.

Data represent the mean of triplicate assays.

Test results indicate the presence of an inhibitor of RT-PCR in this sample.
