Primary B6D2F1 lethally irradiated female mice received 2.5 × 106 male FR25Lin or R/O cells labeled with PKH26. Forty-eight hours later, tibias and femurs, as well as spleen, were harvested and cell sorted for PKH26 bright cells.
The values represent the mean ± SEM for five experiments. Fr25lin cells are found in significantly larger numbers (P < .001) in marrow compared with spleen.
*

This is calculated as the % number of labeled cells × the total number of cells in the hind limb bones divided by the 8.0 ± 0.5% of the whole marrow that these bones represent (total skeletal marrow) or the whole spleen.
