Influents were divided equally and, after saving a small sample, the remainder was filtered using either filter A or filter B. 5 mL indicates the first 5 mL after passage through the filter. Postfiltration indicates a pool of the platelet concentrate after passage through the filter. The values represent the mean and SEM of 20 batches of platelet concentrates that were filtered.
