Apheresis cells were cultured with GM-CSF and IL-4 as described in Materials and Methods. After 7 days, cells were obtained, counted, and CD1a expression was determined by flow cytometry. The cell viability was always superior to 90%. The DC yield is the ratio of the number of CD1a+DCs recovered compared with the number of apheresis cells put into culture.
