Results summarize the reactivity of several sera from each group prepared against GST or MBP fusion proteins and are shown in qualitative terms only. Activity was tested at dilutions equal or higher than 1:25 for ELISA and Western blotting (WB) and 1:5 for PE agglutination and blockade of adherence. Human sera from 5 individual adults resident in P falciparum-endemic area of Ghana22 were tested individually (not shown) or pooled (pool HIS).
