Influence of 3-hydroxypyridin-4-ones on the Accumulation of Porphyrin Types in Livers of C57BL/10ScSn Mice

C57BL/10ScSn mice were administered CP20, CP94, or CP102 at 2 mg/mL in the drinking water for 2 weeks. Livers were analyzed by spectrofluorometry to distinguish between the three main porphyrin types as described by Grandchamp et al.17 Values are means ± SD from 3 to 6 mice per group.
