At baseline, NY1DD mice have significantly increased numbers of pulmonary leukocytes. Anti-CD1d was injected (10 μg/g/d; 2 days), and lungs were harvested either 1 day (columns d and e) or 5 days later (column f). P values (c) were calculated using an unpaired t test. Data represents mean (SEM). P values (f) were calculated by one-way ANOVA with Neuman-Keuls posttesting. P less than .05 was considered significant.
