Freshly isolated cells (CD45.2+) from E14.5 CXCR4+/+ and CXCR4-/- fetal livers were transplanted to adult lethally irradiated C57BL/6-Ly5.1 mice. Two doses of cells have been injected: 2 × 106 or 5 × 106 cells per mouse. Initially, 20 mice were injected with 2 × 106 and 5 with 5 × 106 CXCR4-/- FL cells. In parallel, 9 mice were injected with 2 × 106 and 6 with 5 × 106 CXCR4+/+ FL cells. The recipients were analyzed from 5 weeks to 16 weeks after transplantation. The values represent the mean percentages of circulating CD45.2+ cells observed in peripheral blood samples of CXCR4-/- chimeras and their respective controls. All values are expressed as the mean ± SD.
