DC-associated genes listed in Table 1 were further analyzed at different maturation stages for each DC subset using an HI380 microarray (Creagene). Genes are listed in abbreviated form according to the number used in Tables 1 and 2. The microarray was screened with probes prepared from each DC subset (purity more than 98%) at different maturation stages and from BMTs without subtraction. The ratio of DCs to BMTs for each gene was determined from 2 different sets of experiments after background subtraction and normalization. Genes showing little difference between their mature and immature stages were omitted from the list shown in Table 2.
